The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Cairo, in collaboration with KIEA, wishes to inform all Kenyan citizens residing across Egypt of updated guidelines for passport renewals, emergency travel certificates, and student consular endorsements.
Key Passport Renewal Procedures:
All applicants are advised to initiate their passport renewal applications via the official eCitizen portal at least 6 months prior to the expiration date. Biometric capture appointments at the Cairo Embassy are available Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
“KIEA member assistance desks are available every Tuesday at the Maadi office to guide students and members through eCitizen form filling and document verification.”
Required Documentation for Consular Attestation:
- Original Kenyan Passport & National Identity Card
- Valid Egyptian Residency Permit (Iqama) or Student Identification
- Duly completed eCitizen application form with payment receipt
- Two recent passport-sized photos with white background
